Job description:

As a CE-licensed driver at Van Dievel Transport, you’ll be responsible for transporting goods within a 500-kilometer radius of Mechelen.

You’ll primarily drive a tractor-trailer combination and have no trouble opening and closing a tarpaulin. You enjoy handling a regular route with a consistent client portfolio.

Profile:

Passionate professional driver
A good knowledge of Dutch, French, or English
Strictly defensive driving style with a focus on safety
Residing within a 20 km radius of Mechelen
Willing to work an average of 12 hours per night (a fixed shift of approximately 10 hours with the possibility of an additional shift)

Job-related competences:

Organize and supervise the loading of goods into the vehicle
Perform basic maintenance and clean the vehicle
Inspect the condition of the vehicle and its equipment
Perform the coupling procedure
Drive a truck with a semi-trailer equipped with a tailgate
Operate an electric pallet jack
Able to work with a scanning system
Able to take photos of the delivered goods
Recording follow-up and activity data
Forwarding the information to the relevant department
Checking the presence and validity of on-board and transport documents
Verifying the conformity of the goods together with the customer
Implementing emergency measures in the event of an accident
Demonstrating a sense of responsibility in managing nighttime access systems
