At van Dievel Transport, we ‘make’ truck drivers through our driver school ‘the truck pilot.’ This is no ordinary driving school, but training tailored to the profession of the future truck driver.
We are looking for a M/F/X, regardless of nationality, age or language. Our training courses are given in Dutch, French and English. Retired drivers who want to earn a penny extra are also always welcome.
The curriculum is tailored to the candidate’s profile. Some candidates are already monitored by the VDAB, others have a job and can follow a Saturday training at CVO Crescendo. It is also possible to take the training at Van Dievel.
An initial conversation determines the course of the ‘course’. This conversation can be an ordinary phone call or a visit to Van Dievel Transport in Mechelen.
Usually, the first meeting takes place at the VanDievelKaffee, which continues every last Friday of the month at the Van Dievel site. Here, experienced (ex-)drivers will answer questions such as:
The info session will be followed by a test session and screening and an evaluation of the candidate’s learning ability and interest:
After driver training, the use of on-board systems is taught correctly (cruise control), driving style parameters are determined and specific licences (transpallet) are acquired.
To complete the ‘course’, all kinds of training are provided such as Code95, load securing, tachograph (LogiApp via smartphone). Van Dievel has a mentor team, which follows up each ‘course’. This team gives the training courses in Dutch, French or English.
After all this training, the participant is a fully-fledged driver who will be constantly retrained and prepared to become a ‘truck pilot’ or perhaps even a mentor trainer.
